I am sorry to have to disagree but his so called facts have been refuted over and over by the scientific majority. The saying of it in a well directed scenario on the screen doesn't make it scientific fact and most people, not educated in science, and following the output from the scientific community in the form of seminars, scientific papers. etc. would not know the difference. That is how some politicians operate! Pray on the ignorance of the majority. I don't use that word to criticize but most people, not educated in science, are ignorant of what is real, proven fact and what are just public words meant to disguise real objectives. I don't mean any of this derogatorily but having been educated in the sciences I some idea of what I speak. |

This is simply not true. It is more of the politicizing of science by those with vested interest in the results, in this case: oil, coal and electric companies, and other big polluters. It is discouraging that the disinformation campaign has taken root with otherwise intelligent people: it is our children and grandchildren who will pay the price for the willful ignorance we choose to believe on this subject. Go see the movie. I will buy your ticket. It discusses the source of this misconception in detail. Every reputable climatologist without ties to big oil agrees with Gore's core statements. Global warming is real. It is not a liberal or conservative issue, neither Democratic or Republican. It is a human being issue. I also have a degree in the natural sciences, and I also have some idea of what I speak.
