National Guard Service Award: For members that have served in the US Army National Guard. - Issue reason: I enlisted in 1971. I served in both the maintenance and communications fields. I served in Military Police, Quartermaster, Engineer, Armor and Chemical units. I retired as a Master Sargeant in May 2007.

Let's see, isn't Virginia just across the river from D.C.?
They have seen the murder rate go up in the nations capitol since D.C. passed the most stringent gun laws in the nation.
If you take the weapons from honest law abiding people, the criminals will have no one to oppose them. Except for some politicians and the very wealthy, who can afford bodyguards?

I don't remember the crime rate being that bad in the South when every back window in a pickup sported a rifle or shotgun.
