HardCore... NOT the porn kind. Re: Believing in abortion?

I happen to be friends with a couple who recently found out their child would have Trisomy 18 mosaic Q. As I understand it, this is the worst Down's syndrome possible. ALL body systems are effected. The babies live for a very short time, ranging from stillborn to a couple of months usually. This was a tragic situation, because they wanted a baby soooo bad, but they chose to terminate the pregnancy, and I agree with them 100%.

That being said, I can't see how the govt. could make abortion "legal for some" in cases of incest, rape or danger to the mother. If you are just stupid enough to get pregnant, you still should have the right to do what you feel you need to do.

I'm not saying that I could do it. Since I had a hysterectomy 17 years ago, it's a moot point.

IMO, if it's legal for some, it should be legal for all, and God has nothing to do with my opinion.
While my heart goes out to that couple, I still could not imagine killing the unborn child. It may have been a tremendous blessing for them, but all that is neither here nor there; like I said I am not here asking this question to judge or bash.
