ok...this is one of those times that I am not really sure if I should say something or not.. but since this is suppose to be a place to say exactly whats on your mind..here goes.. First I do admire Mrs. Johnson..putting up with kids for 41 years is really something. and even though I actually never got lucky enough to have her in school, I do know that she was a very good teacher.. Somehow I just missed having her..but there is a story that I know about her..something that happened LONGGGGGGGGGGG ago and she probably doesn't remember it. who knows. but I guess it was one of those things that has stuck with me.. ok here goes..

Way way way longgggggggg ago when I was in 2nd grade or thereabouts.. my brother was in 4th.. my mom had just purchased him a new notebook for math and had written his name in the book.. the first day that he took the book to school, it was stolen by a girl of another color. my brother told Mrs. Johnson and they looked at the book and sure enough the place where my brothers name had been written was all scratched out. Mrs. Johnson just told my brother "tough". Well...when our mom picked us up from school that day..brother told her, and she got a "little" upset. she parked the car and went into the school to confront Mrs. Johnson. Somehow the notebook was obtained and mom did see that it belonged to my brother but still Mrs. Johnson was not going to do anything. At this point, words and lots of them I would believe were exchanged and at one point my mom invited Mrs. Johnson out onto the street in front of the school and told her exactly what she would do to her. At this point, Mr. Templin (whom I have loved since 1st grade) was able to calm them both down and my mom and me and brother left.. a few hours later at my house, Mr. Templin showed up with a few new notebooks for my brother along with apologies from Mrs, Johnson and on behalf of the school. after this was all dropped..Mrs. Johnson continued to teach my brother for the rest of the year and now thinking about it I think it was requested that I was not to get her.

Now ..why did this happen?? I have no idea,,maybe she was having a bad day.. and I am sure that my mom was a little hot headed too and I never said that my brother was a saint.
I guess it was just one of those things that happen..

I am aware that my appearance, by mortal standards, is strange, even unsettling.
If I am to be an ambassador of my people, tradition dictates that I look the part.
Sadly, those who judge me on my looks alone ignore the causes I champion
Still, when the need arises, I am a warrior.
