I agree about freedom of speech. Here's my problem with the article. It's not printed in the editorial section, it's on the front page. Newspapers are journals of record. They are supposed to be non-biased and factual in there printing. When a journalist invokes bias and opinion into an article posing as fact, it's wrong. Now, if he was quoting a witness' statement or someone elses opinion, that would be fine. He didn't do that.
If the D-R want's to be the "Enquirer" of West Alabama, that's fine. I'll still read it because I'm a news junky. He just needs to be known as such, and readers should be warned ahead of time to take everything with a grain of salt.
