Spybot will slowdown and even seem to pause for a long time around 5000 mark, just give it time. Also, to get rid of those popups, Click Start, Run, then type MSCONFIG and click OK. Click the startup tab. Each one of those items listed with a check mark next to it is what is loading or trying to load on boot. Go thu that list and uncheck anything with msinfo in it. Also, you can take out programs that are loading on boot that you don't want loading. If your not quite sure what something is, just leave it be.
