Stuck Pixel

My new computer has a flat panel monitor. I notice that it has a small green dot on the screen in the upper right hand corner. After doing some research on the internet, I found out that this was caused by what is called a stuck pixel. I called Dell and they said that it was normal. Actually, this is a common problem with flat panel displays. Most manufacturers do not cover this issue unless you have 8 or more stuck or dead pixels. It is hardly noticeable unless you are on a really dark screen. My question is, have any of you ever had this problem? Is there a fix for it? I went to one web page that would flash red, blue and green across the screen that would possibly make it unstick, but it didn't work.
