In football and basketball, players go from college straight to the pros. In baseball it seems a player is placed in the A, AA, AAA, AAAA farm pool and called up just when they are needed. I guess the NCAA is the minor league organization for the NBA and NFL. I hope Andy makes it to the Yankees an a starter or a back-up. Please keep us posted statpat.
