New Intel CPU architecture

Intel CPU codenamed Conroe, the official name has not been released. At 2.66GHz it is roughly 20% faster in applications than an AMD Athlon X2 @ 2.8GHz.

Looks like the CPU wars have started again, which is good for everyone. Price drops will follow while faster chips are released to counter the competition.
The early bird gets the worm...
but the second mouse gets the cheese.
