The wonders of fall

For as long as I can remember, I have enjoyed two favorite seasons of the year, that being fall and spring.
As a kid, summer was okay. You were out of school and could go to the pool or whatever. Now that I'm older and working, summer does not hold the same appeal with me.
Fall is of course the time for football, and now, it will soon start feeling like true football weather, what with the tinge of crispness in the fall air. The days are getting shorter and the nights longer as well.
There is something about the changing of the leaves that appeals to my senses, as well as watching a leaf fall from a tree onto the ground, or into a pond or stream. A fallen leaf is, in my book, a tree's way of shedding a tear.
I love to see the different colors of the trees as well. The red and gold mixed together is like Mother Nature's Symphony, or her poem to us.
Fall is here, and I am glad.
