I will call it pilfering but by another name it is called stealing others property!
We went down to the old house today to pick up a few things we had left and take to storage other things.
Much to my surprise I did not find a number of things that meant alot to me. My good Granny had left me two concrete flower pots. They were gone...flowers and all! I have a list of other things we intended to put in the outside storage houses on the property but they had been "stolen"! I let it be known that I was looking for them. If these items are not returned to my property so that we can properly store them, my husband and I will turn it over to the Marengo County Sheriffs Department tomorrow morning. I do know the culprits!
Please be sure to let all know that this is our intention!
I hope you never have this happen to you and yours! May God have mercy on their souls!

	Very sorry to hear that this happened -- some people really have some nerve. I hope your things are returned to you in the same condition you left them.

	Not your normal thief. Reminds me of the time I went to the cleaners in Linden and noticed that the concrete planters normally in front were missing. Someone had stolen them too. We have several and they are heavy without the soil. Hope they are returned.

	As of 12 noon today, June 3, 2009, none of the property has been returned. We will be filing arrests charges against the perpetrators. Knowing only one name, he will be involved until he tells who the other one is. I can identify them.

	Go get'em Mama! It isn't about the value....it is about the principle. They even unhooked a cut-up water hose from the house and took it.

	I hope they catch the people that took your things...my gosh wasn't enough what you already lost from the damage to your house and then they go and take other stuff too! I hope they are prosecuted!!

	We were told that our property would be returned to us by this afternoon. So far, nothing. If it is not there by Friday, June 5th we will go ahead with arrest warrents. Thanks for all of your kind words!

	I know the feeling. Someone stole my weed eater! Of course I guess we should have chained it up, instead of leaving it in a closed storage cabinet. (It wasn't locked - that's our fault!) Boo! I hope you get your stuff back. I'm sorry you have to deal with this.

Thanks for all of your comments! We checked this morning and every thing had been returned except three items. I think they were returned to a different place. The men's boss told them that if they did not return the items by the end of the day(Thursday), they would be fired Friday. Boy, what a boss! I am thankful for him. He made it happen!!!!!! With the economic conditions as they are, I would have obeyed!!! Thanks, everybody!!!

	I'm glad they returned the items. I'm also glad their boss made them return the items. I hope these were not people you hired to clean up or repair. If it were I would have to let them go and find someone else to do the job.....It hurts knowing people will take advantage of someone who has already had so much happen to them, especially your family geigerlass!!!
