Demopolis Farmers Market?

Are they still having it and who do I get in touch with about a booth or whatever they work out?

I heard they may start a Thursday afternoon/evening deal for a farmers market also. I'm really just looking for someone to contact with questions!

We talked to the guy from the State that got it going. He said the City of Demopolis provides the tents and tables. You need to contact the Marengo County Extention office in Linden for a "free" permit for selling farm raised items or contact the city for a peddlers license for resale of items.

The market should be each Thursday - 3pm till 6pm.
They had a good selection last week. Very Fresh Produce !!

Does anyone else thing it should be in the mornings before the heat is so terrible? Also I don't really think it's a great idea for fresh produce to sit out in the sun and wilt. I just think it should be early morning hours.

I agree that the afternoon heat is awful but I think more people will be able to take advantage of this opportunity in the afternoon. Last year, when there was something similar offered on Sat. mornings, I never got the chance to go-too busy with other things or just not wanting to get out early on a Sat. morning. Between 3-6 p.m. will give me a change to go but if it was offered in the mornings only, a lot of people would not be able to due to work. I think the afternoon hours are great regardless of the heat.

did anyone check out the farmers market today? How was it??
