River Festivities for the 4th of July '09
Ok, so I'm pretty sure there's going to be music at French Creek on Saturday, but I keep hearing about something down Myrtlewood way, too. Does anyone know anything?

Dont' know about Mytlewood but Demopolis is having the Children's Parade at 7pm down at the river here and then the fireworks start at dark.

Well I don't know about other places but Demopolis I do know for sure because I'm one of the judges for the Children's Parade. The Civitan Club is one of the sponsors for it every year. The city was down at the river testing the sound system and the speakers for Saturday night. They have a wonderful fireworks display for the 4th every year for those who are new to the area.

I heard that the one in Myrtlewod, was on the river, at a sandbar called 4 mile. I think they said that it was down river from the landing. Heard that a band was playing and all the BBQ you could eat and suds.
