New gym in demop???

I would just like to get everyones input on what they would think about a new gym going in Demopolis and any suggestions on what u may want in a gym... Im looking forward to doing lots of personal training, boxing and kick-boxing lessons...

im not going to fully disclose yet until everything is final but it will be in a very nice location right on hwy 80... lol, not to many different locations that it could be huh?

I would like a new Gym in Demopolis - I work for a company who pays up to 36.00 a month for membership - maybe you can do something like that also.
Would like to see Treadmill, cycle and those step things - also TV on wall is important as it makes the time go faster - keep us informed - you would have my vote!

yah ive already got all my equipment... a few treadmills, ellipticals, recumbant bikes, and 3 nice 42inch LCD TVs.. plan on putting one in the cardio area, one in the gym area and one in a matted training room... ill also be offering lots of affordabe personal training with endless functional and body weight training and even some boxing, kick boxing, and brizilian jiu-jitsu self defense and training classes... i also have a nice selection of weights for the facility and as the business grows will be adding on more and more... i would love the oppertunity to work with any business possible on a corporate rate... where do you work?

i live in Linden but i would be interested in maybe tai chi i think thats how it is spelled... very low or no impact strength trainning ...my husband has bad knees and this would be good for both of us...but right now money is tight... good luck to you!!

Although I think a new weight gym would be nice, I am curious as to who you will have teaching Kickboxing and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. I only ask because we go to great pains to provide licensed/quality and ranked instructors/coaches to teach these as well as the other martial arts and fitness classes we provide. Hallelujah!! I’ve been praying for a new gym in Demop for a long time, LOL . What I would like to see in a gym is
- a variety of exercise equipment to conquer boredom
- friendly and personal assistance
- exercise plans provided and tailored to each individuals goals
- no contracts that require a year long commitment and reasonable rates
- different exercise classes ( maybe yoga, cardio, weight loss etc.)
Please let us know when and where you are going to open up your new gym. I am looking forward to meeting you!

that is all something im still learning... im training here in pensacola under my instructor pat vito who is a gracie brown belt under the professor pedro sauer and alan hopkins... pats only about a year away from his black... ive got alot of friends down here that are wanting to do some seminars if i can put them together... right now im gonna stick to boxing for mainly training kids and cardio for my personal training... ezra sellers and another buddy are training me at my gym here at the moment... ezra is a 2time boxing world champion and will for sure be comming up and helping me out with some training... also gotta buddy israel gomes thats a red stripe muay thai from brazil and 2stripe black bjj that grew up training at chute box possibly doin some seminars as well... like i said ive met a bunch of great people in the business and i would love to work with u and would for sure give all ur students discounts for any of my seminars... im also gonna try to bring some boxing, muay thai, bjj, and mma fights to the area.. realy wanna try to build up a good program... and im very glad i found this sight... anything to help demop grow!!!

i believe i can take care of that... i will be offering all sorts of personal traing, nutrition, exercise programs and also realy wanting to start a weight loss bootcamp... the bootcamp will be like no other... 4-6 week program with a nutritional guide including indoor and outdoor training...
as for the contracts and prices, there will be an option for the term of the contracts, of course paying monthly will cost more than a one or two year contract but prices will be very reasonable... and just to add i will be open 24/7 and also be carrying a full line of work out supplements!!! suggestions on any wanted supplements/vitamins would also be great...
im looking at a 6-8wk time period till i open..

i totaly forgot to mention that my soon to be brother-n-law trained bjj in hawaii for about 9 yrs and won a naga open weight over there and a grapplers quest also... he would be somewhere between a purple and a brown but never trained in a gi... he also said hed train me and help me train when he comes to visit... i think it would be awesome if we could put together some grappling matches and stuff every once in a while...

A new gym sounds great. The 24/7 really intrests me. We ( Collins Communications ) have supplied swipe locks and cameras for security for other Gyms around town. We would love to help you set up your new gym.. Lord knows some of us could spend some quality time there. Have you thought about sauna's or steam rooms. That is something that Demopolis is missing out on. Most of the YMCA's that I have been associated with had those. Glad to hear you will be coming soon. i am for sure installing a swipe system and wanting two outdoor cameras and one indoor... im comming up friday to get some of this stuff done and ill be getting in touch with u...
and yes i have thought of the sauna idea.. im saving enough room in my restrooms for a 2 to 3 person sauna for each... it will be something that i will add as the gym progresses... hopefully by mid summer or so... google the new radiation saunas. there pretty awesome. i also have a stand up tanning bed...

I don't know alot about Pat Vito, but pedro sauer is an awesome bjj instructor. Our head bjj instructor is CJ Baker, he is ranked and a BJJ Blue belt under Pro. Carlos Machado and Johnny Lee Smith, a 3rd degree bjj black belt under Pro. Machado and the highest ranking bjj bb in AL. CJ and Johnny lee both have also trained under Rixon Gracie. My husband and myself have had the pleasure to train under Carlos Machado also, and we are also students of Johnny Lee Smith. We are friends and have trained under Joe Cunningham from VA, who is currently a Brown belt under Mario Yamasaki. Who will you have teaching your kickboxing program? We've had a few seminars here before. Actually we're having one this weekend, with Joe Cunningham and Andy Liaskos, a former pro mma fighter and muay thai, boxing, bjj coach from Chicago. We still have room, if you would like to attend. Joe is a great bjj instructor. We'll also have several guys from out of town, one from the SOCA BJJ Academy in New York. If you're interested just let me know!

pats my boy... hes the 3rd instructor that ive had at my gym in pcola and he is by far the best... hes only got about a year left till hes a black... and all of his blue belts are phenomenal! u should google him... im gonna try to have him commin up occationaly... im not sure about the kick boxing at the moment... gonna stick to the boxing for now... im not realy goin for anything to traditional... aiming towards for more of cardio and fitness purposes for now.. possibly goin to do only no gi classes... i still cant decide... most of the training is something that im just starting to get into... im pretty much gonna stick to self defense and boxing for now... you should check out my gym in pcola.... Gulf Beach Fitness. its pretty tight... sellin out for other oppertunities tho... and ill be way closer to my daughter... her first birthday is this weekend and were having a party for her up there so depending on when yalls seminar is im not sure if ill be able to make it... and for sure thanks for the invite!!! id love to come and hope i can make it... im guessing the info is on ur website... ill check it out..
