Tonight during the show we got so caught up in the "spirit" of the season that we decided to go ghost hunting, reason being we cut the show early. We went to a few places around Demopolis that have been said to have had ghost sightings or "weird stuff". Some of the things we were seeking included a grave with no grass because someone sits on it all the time, a fireball that supposedly chases you, and ghost that sits on your bumper on a wooden bridge. Needless to say we found none of these things. But they were all based on stories told by people in this area.

Now we have a couple of questions for all of you: What ghost stories have ya'll heard from around here. And does anyone know of a house that is haunted that we can spend the night in and video what we find. We would put our night on D-Live for everyone to see and hear. Any of the stories of places that ya'll know we will also go and check these out. We believe that all of this would be some great entertainment for all of you and for us as well.

So now the campfire is lit, the marshmallows are roasting, and it's storytime, so let the spooks begin.

I have aready told yall about my ghost encounter while playing poker at a very dear friends house a few weeks ago. I know it sounded crazy but I know what I saw and the only thing that lead be to belive what I saw was that it happended twice with in less tha 30 mins apart. Stll gives me chills when I think about it. I do know if it was a ghosts it had to be a friendly goast because I feel I know who it was. Still a weird feeling at the time.

You need to check out the book "13 Alabama ghosts and Jeffrey" by Katherine Tucker Windham. I read it as a kid. Has a few ghosts stories pertaining to Demopolis esp. Gainswood. Ms. Windham is a cousin of mine. She lives in a house in Selma with a ghost she has named Jeffrey. A really interesting read. She also wrote some others about Georgia, Mississippi and another about Alabama ghosts. I am pretty sure the Library in Demop has it.

If you're up for a campout I know of an old house place about 5 miles out of Linden that is now empty. I can also tell you an amazing story, that I was involved in, about this place. I am considering contacting a paranormal investigation group out of Mobile to check out this spot. I own two of Ms. Windham's books about the Alabama Ghosts. I also have gone to hear her speak numerous times in Thomasville where she grew up. She is the greatest storyteller I've ever known.

I've always wanted to know if Gainswood is really haunted. We've all heard the stories now let's see if it is true.

I've been told that if you go down to the railroad tracks by the old cotton gin, park and turn off your vehicle, and turn off your lights, that a "ghost" will pick your vehicle up and move you off the tracks. It was said that this "ghost" was a person that had been hit on the railroad tracks in the early 1900s. Just be careful not to get hit by a train "experimenting", you don't want to become the next ghost guarding the railroad tracks.

the only story that i know of is the ghkost of gaineswood. i think that i also remeber something about bluff hall being haunted as well.
