i'm riding with the ps3 on this one i played xbox 360 and its nothign awesome they have xbox live but in a few months we'll have ps3 home and ps3 home is a whole virtual world by itself
It's really a matter of opinion. Each system is powerful and The graphics are basically the same, although they each give something up to make it better (for example, Ps3 gives up some textures to make the frame rate better, etc.) As for me Xbox is my favorite BY FAR. It has a big base, great community, and a overall great service. And at Ranger, where did you hear of this 300 game? Link please? Because I searched it and all that came up was a 300 game on the PSP. Also, the backwards compatibility on the ps3 has had issues, like in the U.K. they recently announced that they are REMOVING the chip that allows you to play your old games on the PS3. Ps3 is overall unreliable, yes the 360 has had problems, but at least Microsoft is honest. Sony throws lie after lie out. ( the backward compatibility just one example) or the fact they said that 2 million consoles were to ship at launch? hmm the actual Playstation 3 launch numbers were in the range of 125,000 to 175,000 and that includes the 15,000 or so being used for kiosks which caused angry people then shootings. So that was another lie, and dont get me started on the Killzone video. The point im trying to make is you shouldn't trust a company that throws out lie after lie. Also, the six-axis controller, a week after Nintendo announced that their controller was going to be motion censored, Sony came out and announced that THEIR controller was going to be motion censored! And said that they had been planning that for years!! I think it is kind of odd that they waited till Nintendo released info on it to announce it. But some plus sides to the 360:
~ TONS OF GAMES: 360 has more exclusives on it than any system: Gears, Mass Effect, Viva Pinata, Halo 3, Halo Wars, The next Splinter Cell game will be 360 only, Bioshock, Project Gotham racing Series, Banjo Kazooie
~ Microsoft interacts with their community, there is always something going on around the xbox community, whether it be the xbox rewards program launched last month (www.xbox.com/rewards) or the play and win competitions where all you have to do is play the game at the certain time to win prizes, there is also the game with fame, allowing you to play with stars.
~ We have rumble :P take that sony haha
~ Yeah sony has Blu-Ray, so what xbox has HD-DVD, we dont know which will win so it doesn't matter. But Microsoft gives you the option to have HD-DVD, sony threw Blu-Ray on there to make more money.
So xbox would be the better choice but hey, it's all up to you
Wow, now that hit it on the head there lol! Thats exactly it though, can't say it much better. Crazy part is, PS3's are still sitting on my shelf from the begin launch. I mean, Nintendo is even beating the tar out of sony right now. However, to back up the PS3, cheapest blu-ray DVD player so it is all good. That and the graphics are just wonderful as well. Microsoft made their xbox360 system specifically for just gaming purposes with giving the customer's an option of getting a HD DVD player if they wanted to. Microsoft right now is playing their cards all right, they are not splitting their system to a DVD player and a gaming console. I mean, if you want to watch a DVD player, just pop it in a DVD. Sony in the other hand, focused strictly on giving the customer a built package with the blu-ray DVD player and everything inside the system. However, since it is blu-ray it is about $200.00 more expensive then getting a 360. Fact of the matter is, both systems look awesome graphically. A certain game might look better on one system then it does the other, thats just how it is. Just get a really nice TV and that in itself would fix everything that you're having a problem with graphically though . You're not going to get the full effect until you do that anyhow. Well. . theres my opinion , your choice lays in your hands! ( oh yea, 360 had a year over PS3 right now, games galore compared to PS3 right now. If you're going to get a PS3 wait a little bit down the line until it has the great titles like GTA 4 and Lair coming out which will be in 3-5 month span before the great titles hit. )

Well not like it matters GTA 4 is also going to launch the same time on the xbox 360. Lair has been completely redone all multiplayer now. AND the next splinter cell is going to be xbox exclusive.
