With the risk of sounding stupid, I was wondering why my computer, at times, will tell me that the virtual memory is low.
this only happens when I sign on. Of course this slows everything down.
Please post your system specs, including ram, HD size and available space, CPU, etc. Also, have you ran updated copies of antivirus software and spyware programs?

Dell 2400, 512mb ram, 309mb avaliable, 2.00g virtual memory, 1.96 gig avaliable.
I run spybot at least once a week.
Norton antivirus and internet security.
