Ipod vs. New Computer
I've had my Ipod for several months and have been managing my music from my parents computer. Just got my new laptop in today. I am having some issues getting all the music from my Ipod onto my new computer. Basicacally I can't get my music from my Ipod onto my new computer. I am sure someone here has delt with this before. HELP!

Maybe your new computer has better taste in music than your old one. Have you tried asking it nicely? I find that sometimes works when you purchase an insolent computer.

Check the Apple website for answers. Look in the support section and there is a "search" window that may help out. I just bought me a 4GB iPod Nano & I'm having to refer to the Apple website to help answer my questions. iTunes takes some getting used to & I still don't understand some of the error messages I get when I connect the iPod. Also, check to make sure you're running version 6 of the iTunes software. If not, download it from their site for free. Hope this helps & good luck.

Yes, the apple webpage is where I started. Just downloaded itunes a couple of hours ago. The webpage didn't really help me alot. I am still looking there for answers. They have alot of info to have to go through. I even have a post up on the apple message boards but no real help so far. When I figure out how to do this, I'll post here incase someone needs it in the future.

You would have to have this crisis while I am out of town. If you don't get it fixed before I get back home, let me know. Otherwise, I'll be back in about 8 weeks.

Does anyone have any input on an external speaker system for the iPod Nano? I listened to Scootergal's 'Bose Sound Dock' last weekend & seemed real impressed w/ the sound & the size. I thought the unit would be bigger. I know there are several speakers available & was wondering if anybody had purchased anything & what brand. Right now...the Bose is looking good.
