Tigers Rally In Final Seconds To Beat Fayette County

The Demopolis Tigers were down 38-34 with less that 5 minutes left in the game and on their own 10 yard line. They marched 90 yards and scored the game winning touchdown on a Goodwin to Pettus pass in the back of the endzone. Until the final quarter, Demopolis had no answer for Fayette County's offensive attack. The Tiger offense was again excellent. Goodwin was 13 of 16 for 172 yards and 4 TD's. Marco Rembert ran the ball 21 times for 161 yards and 2 TD's. Demopolis is now 8-0, and already guaranteed a playoff spot. They will face their toughest team of the season Dallas County Hornets, who are also 8-0.

In other news...The circus came to Linded last Tuesday. The Times reported cars backed up a mile to see the show. What they didn't report is the reason for the line was the terrible parking, which was nothing but a field of mud.....The City Council voted unanimously to purchase a new fire truck at a price of $326,017.00 This was the highest of 3 bids submitted by about $29,000, but the council explained it was the only bidder that gave everything they had asked for in a fire truck. The 17 dollars was for duel cupholders

Finally, next Saturday don't forget to roll back your clocks. Have a good week!
