The Gift of Lights attraction might want to push back the opening until Saturday. There is only one event happening in Demopolis Friday night that’s going to attract the masses and get our spirits soaring. The Tigers will battle the defending state champions UMS-Wright for a chance to go to Birmingham and play for the title. The Tiger’s have played as a team to get here, and the fans have helped them to victory every time they’ve stepped onto a field this year. Now it’s time to step it up. Every yard Demopolis gains on the field will be greeted by thousands of screaming Tiger fans. Every time UMS tries to call a play, all they will hear are the thundering chants of “DEFENSE!!” We all have a part in this historic season, and nobody is quitting till we bring home the trophy.
Friday marks the “official” start of the Christmas season. I can’t think of a better way to start the season than win tomorrow night. This amazing season the Tigers have given us has woken up a few old football fans, and created countless more. Good luck Tigers. You have everyone behind you.
