The Death of an owl.....
This weekend will be a little different. All those who are waiting for tonight to let there hair down at Hoot's will be disappointed. I just got word that the 50 year old drinker's landmark has shut its doors. Now I know most of you say good ! But this is a place where most of demopolis has made memories. Hell even LPL is sad, and I have not been there in over 6 months. Hoot's is one of those bars like on the tv show "cheers". Everybody knew everybody and for the most part most had a great time. So for the people who are going at this weekend, take just a second and remember the good time you had, the people you met, the fights you saw or whatever other memory you had at the "white owl".. I wish JL and Marie the best of luck and they will be missed...

Wouldn't doubt it Big Jim. I will suggest being very wary of DUI roadblocks this weekend, especially in light of it being Memorial Day Weekend. There is an increased law enforcement presence out on the highways this weekend.
