Do apparently "negative" and "emotional" sell better?
Apparently so! As I type this blog, I'm actually laughing. Why? In the list of recent blogs, the blogs with titles that could be read as "negative" or "emotional"...are the blogs with the most hits.
Six weeks ago, RawkinItVegan posted a rather informative blog. The content was about her new website...which is a highly informative blog by the way. She also explained that all of...

I can't remember when I first heard those words spoken in my presence; however, I must admit that when I hear them uttered they are a serious blow to discussion and even friendship.
The first time it offended me...
Although I can't remember when I first heard the declaration: "Let's agree to disagree", I still recall when it struck me as wrong. It was as a result of what happened the night of Mother's Day 2000...time flies, but memories never fade. That night,...

Last night's Olympic hockey victory by the USA team brings back memories...
February 1980...Lake Placid, New York...
Anyone who was anyone was chanting "U-S-A", "U-S-A", "U-S-A", "U-S-A" after the semi-final hockey match between the Soviet Union and the United States.
It was the Cold War. We were ALL participants. We fought the Russians in everything...propaganda, international relief aid, trade agreements, Third World...

They say that the Internet is nothing but a source of evil. However, there’s old saying that goes: “You find what you’re looking for.” As some know about me, I love nostalgia, and I found a taste of it on the Internet.
One of my students asked: “Which is your favorite NFL team?”
I paused. Had a flashback to when I was their age. Jumped back to present reality. I answered, “I used to have a favorite team, but I don’t have one anymore.”
“Well, which one used...
