Jan 22, we celebrated Alex's fourth birthday! This year he actually helped unwrap his presents and he willingly by himself tasted his icing on his cake twice, he seems to like cream cheese! It is a slow progress, but we are making steps. He has out grown his wheel chair seat and we now have to get him a bigger one. He is now at 39 lbs and 41 and a half inches long.

Today we were told Nickolas will be a prim candiate for this therapy. They place electodes on his face and neck and give him gentle shocks to stimulate his nerves and muscles so he can swallow and maybe even learn to move his vocal cords. We are putting it off for a little while so he may become more stable with his blue spells. In the past vibrating teething rings, cold sensations and warm sensations have triggered these spells, so maybe with a little more time we may be able to start this therapy....
