Economic stimulous or spending bill

The economic stimulous or DEMOCRAT SPENDING bill passed today without one republican vote in the House and only three in the Senate......not one congressman knows even a small fraction of what is in this bill.......no one had time or the inclination to read it......Harry Reid threw in a 3 billion dollar railroad from Los Angeles to Las Vegas at the last minute, surprise ! surprise !.......

Since I don't know really what's in it either, I might as well wait for experts to dissect and attempt to explain it.

Here is just a snippet from a fellow "sodahead.com-er" :

This bill, which costs over $1 trillion including interest, provides less than seven percent of the cost to build new roads and bridges, and less than one percent of the bill goes to help small businesses create jobs.



To make matters worse, we do not have the money in our own struggling economy to pay the bill. So we will be forced to borrow from other countries like China and Saudi Arabia , forcing us to pay higher and higher interest rates. This will drive up the cost of credit for the American people and American employers, making everything we buy cost more, and creating barriers to buy cars, student loans, and home mortgages. It also likely will increase inflation, making our savings worth less.



Here are just a few of the outrageous earmarks we will be borrowing money to pay for:

$30 million to save a mouse habitat in San Francisco
$8 billion to create a high speed rail system between Los Angeles and Las Vegas and a second one somewhere in the Mid-West.
$50 million for the National Endowment for the Arts
$2 billion for neighborhood organizations including ACORN which has been accused of unlawful voter registration.
$1 billion for a prevention and wellness fund available for sexually transmitted disease education and prevention.

Oh and by the way saddlebum, don't be confused a little if you see some on there calling him by his REAL name, Barry Soetoro.

The irresponsible actions of the Democrats will be the downfall of this country. The Trillion dollars is bad enough, but the unknown little laws slipped into this travesty will come to light.
Look for laws that will take away liberties, set us up to be submissive to the UN, and legislation to silence anyone who leans to the right.

The Russian who pounded his shoe was right. They will defeat without firing a shot. In part because the populace will be disarmed and our leaders will bow down to our enemies to save their own hides.

big question?.........who let it get to this point and why did it get to this point?........the national debt.......that is?!!!!.....just think about it......at least we know where the money is going and there isn't someone funneling the money away, giving it to who know who and doing whatever they want with it!.........yeah some of the spending is stupid with the stimulus......but some of the spending with the republicans was stupid also!!.....so just quit whining and get with it for the next four years....just like everyone else has for the past eight!!

Everyone is trashing a president that inherited a mess the likes of which haven't been seen probably since FDR took office. This bill has passed--perhaps we actually wait and see if it works or not before declaring failure.

The Iraq War costs $10.3 billion per month. Lets talk about getting out of that situation.

Okay Dave,what is in this bill exactly that actually benefits the general public? Seriously because I can't find a copy (not that I could decipher all the legal mumbo jumbo anyway)...please tell me what is so POSSIBLY good about this stimulus bill.
