Video Game "25 to Life"

The video game "25 To Life" is due out in stores this month. The object of
this game is to kill LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS. The National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund is putting together an on-line petition to boycott this game.

I am asking each of you to go to their web site and please sign the petition
and pass along this info to your family and friends.

Hmm--this game was released on Jan 17, 2006.

Partly--you also play as the police. This game is a bad version of GTA, and should be bought simply because it sucks. I see no reason for an online petition--it's a game. However offensive it might be, it's still a game. Also, the game has been out over a month.

While I find the game in poor taste, as Dave pointed out it is a game, and I just don't see them banning this game. I believed they kinda tried something along these lines with Copkiller song back in the late 80's. And I don't believe they were able to get a ban.

I actually think the protest is a teriible idea, because it will bring attention to a game that most people would have never heard about, and most gamers wouldn't give it the time of day to play. And now, younger kids and teenagers will want to play the game more because it is "bad".

I have never posted something such as a petition on this site before and I appreciate the admins for allowing me opportunity to do so.

Perhaps you both are right....but I still find this, along with other games that involve murder, in poor taste and offensive. Especially if it is marketed to kids and teens. The petition may fall on deaf ears and make no difference whatsoever, but it never hurts to try.

Thanks for the info...it may be "just" a game but, some kids who pull all their attention they recieve from video games may see it differently. Unfortunatly there are some sick people in this world and not all children and teens are supervised. I signed the petition.
