How are you connecting these days?
After my recent residence change back into the city limits, I was FINALLY able to get DSL. I felt I was the last remaining internet junkie alive that had to suffer through the perils of dial-up service. What is everyone else connecting at?

I am the only one on the poll who connects with satellite. I use DirecWay two-way satellite for my primary connection. I still have a dial-up account for back-up. Satellite is okay. It is definitely better than dial-up for downloading stuff (Microsoft Windows Updates, virus updates, large downloads), but just web browsing, it's a little slow. The e-mail has gotten better since a recent upgrade on DirecWay's end. The only downside is - like satellite TV, when it comes a good rain, the internet connection is all washed up till it quits!

I have recently had some experience with the cable internet offered by MediaCom in Linden. Man, it's the mac schtuff here! It is lightning fast! I am definitely impressed with it! Wish I could get it in Providence, AL!
