I started seeing her during the OJ trial on court TV and she had some very interesting points, but I believe she has the God Complex and now believes her legal opinions of evidence is golden. No matter what her personal beliefs you would think she would use her show toward assisting in finding clues and evidence. She has gone way over the deep end and is about to take that long fall if the networks dont calm her down.

I dont always agree with her, but with the ratings SHE has, she wont be going nowhere. NO time soon. People feed off her. I love the way she hounds OJ, and Scott Peterson.
'your Dixie's Football Pride, Crimson Tide... ROLL TIDE, ROLL TIDE!!!
I saw the show where she interviewed the young lady who later killed herself. I thought that she was just asking "did you talk a lie detector test" to get an honest answer from Melinda. But she did ask it many times. That could be viewed as hounding the girl. I wonder if that "hounding" helped lead the girl to kill herself. I know that there had to be other factors involved; like maybe mental issues. I personally feel that Melinda had many problems, and she didn't think she had any where to turn for help. I feel that she did the wrong thing in killing herself; now her little son may never be found. That makes me mad!
Nancy Grace does do things on her show to grab more viewers. Was this a stunt to garner more viewers? I don't know. I do get irritated with her claiming to know a person is guilty. I was taught in school that a person is innocent until proven guilty. Maybe I am just a hopeful idiot; who knows?

No...you're not a hopeful idiot. Without the concept of "innocent until proven guilty," our entire society fails. You were taught the right thing...and it makes me personally VERY happy to see that the idea lives on in other hearts and minds.

(Please note that I have never seen Nancy Grace or the interview in question.) I know it didn't happen, but just suppose the the mother had broken down during the interview, admitted what had happened and led the police to the child. I feel like everyone would be singing her praises instead of saying it was Nancy's fault that the mother killed herself. (From the reaction everyone has described, the mother realized that somebody had figured her out and she didn't want to face the consequences. Kind of like the gunman who shoots a bunch of his coworkers and then kills himself.) As for N.G., it's kind of like announcers during a football game - "Bob was an idiot to throw that pass there. It could only be intercepted. He lost the game for his team." However, if Bob had thrown the pass 1/4th of an inch higher and the receiver had caught the pass in the endzone for the game winning touchdown, they would be saying that Bob had a laser accurate, pinpoint arm and phenomenal talent and that had to be the most astounding play they had ever seen.
IMHO: Interrogation is still the job of the police. Could not the interview be legitimately seen as interfering with a police investigation?
So often, "media scrutiny" (read: trying to keep my ratings up by exploiting the suffering of others) has actually hindered police investigations (think of Ramsey, Holloway...). Perhaps this will be a turning point.

Just in five minutes reading, sounds like the mother did it. Nancy Grace may be the worm it sounds like, but I think the mother killed herself for reasons of her own.
After watching news reports about the situation, I have to agree with you Oldman. I don't know if that child will ever be found in that forest. I feel bad for the families involved. Obviously that was a troubled young woman. It is a sad fact that not everyone can handle the pressures of being a parent; sadly Melinda sounds like that kind of person.
Well, I don't watch her show, Bill O'Reilly, or any of those broadcasters. Journalists are supposed to be impartial and not get self-involved with the story. I can form my own opinions just fine without these close-minded, judgemental hypocrites having to tell me what is right and what is wrong with society today. More often than not, they're beating a dead horse or preaching to the choir. Their viewers usually agree with them, and if they don't, they usually don't watch the show. I don't find them amusing or entertaining enough to watch; I typically don't agree with their views, either, so there's no real reason for me to watch.
