The troops deserve all the support we can give them. That's really a given I believe. Regardless if the war or reasons for it are just or unjust, soldiers deserve our respect.
I feel, however, any disussion about war needs to be done publicly. Whether Bush meant to or not, his reasons for going to war with Iraq were decieving. No one is denying at this point the fact there is no link between 9-11 and Saddam Hussein, and no one has been able to really prove a link between him and Al Qaeda. It was definately a great day when we caught Hussein, and I know Iraq will be better off now because of it. When you consider how many American lives have been lost to accompolish it, was it worth it? Are
we really safer now that Hussein is locked up? It wasn't the Iraq army that attacked us with air strikes, it was some crazed Al Qaeda followers who flew our own planes into the WTC.
If we had killed Saddam Hussein back when Bush Sr. attacked him, would that have prevented 9-11? I would have to say no. We're doing the right thing in Afghanistan. Bin Laden is probably dead by now--considering his medical condition and obvious living arrangements. We got a hold on Al Qaeda early. and we should have kept our concentration there. We've since proved there were no WMD's in Iraq, so letting the inspectors continue what they were doing would not have hindered the fight on terror or decreased our own safety here in America.
Bush, if he even had a hint his reasons for war were not completely just, needs to be held accountable; politics doesn't (or shouldn't) have anything to do with it.
Back to the original topic though

Isreal did the right thing. Even if the means was wrong, the end was just. Terrorists are made, not born--best kill the ones that are making them.
