hmmmm....when I was in school, the marching band had to remove the song, DIXIE from it's play list, each town had to change a name of a street to MLK, States like Arizonia had to Make MKL's birthday a Holiday or lose the Superbowl...(fact)I had explain to my child why he couldn't say...One Nation Under God...at school.We lost the right to choose to wear a seat belt, motorcycle helmet, use head lights in the rain, have a Christmas party at school....the list goes on..and I know some has to be told how to live...but the goverment has withheld funds in my state until laws were past....(Fact)THIS IS ONLY OPINION.....don't wanna get into an argument over this....lol

I just gave an example of a black man displaying the flag. Just the reference of KKK and this flag alone can be considered a prime example of the racist distortion in today's society.

You got that right Bamassee. Funny thing is I happen to know (not heard about or read about, but personally know) of 3 black familes, not in Alabama, that support the KKK. Not by showing up for rallies, but by monitary donations. They've been donating money to it since before I was born and still are. Their children were in my class in school and I've known them since kindergarten. One of the guys in my class even wore shirts to school with a Rebel flag on it. I think he was more southern than me. lol. But this is not heresay, it's fact. I personally KNOW these people.

Got phone numbers? I want to talk to the people who monetarily support a group that wants to kill them...just to ask what their beliefs are and how their beliefs mesh with those of the KKK.

You think the kkk would let these families march with them, let the world know that these black families support our cause, and we're gladly accepting money from them.

I'm actually trying really hard not to appear argumentative and to explain my intent! I guess I'm trying to "moderate" the conversation toward that end.

I dont think I'm sure what you heard from my post that you agree with, MR....Sorry but I have to agree with demopolite on this one.....there's something very unbelievable and fishy about this. If this is true, it sounds reminiscent of "protection" money made famous by the Mafia.

While Im not questioning your honesty nor integrity, MR, I swear, its a HUGE stretch for me to believe this family would support a cause that clearly stands for hate and racism and would like nothing more than the demise of the Black community as a whole.

Not stiring the pot. I sincerely want to ask any black person who gives money to the KKK why they do so and what beliefs of theirs mesh with beliefs of the KKK. I don't think you have to worry about what would happen if I "got those numbers" because I don't believe those numbers exist. I do not believe that there are blacks in the United States who give money to an organization that believes they are lesser humans and wants to kill them.

Members on here has been agreeing and disagreeing in just about every thread. So why you feel the need for me to explain something I disagree with you on. I'm I the only person that disagree with you on here? There's nothing for you to learn or gain better understanding of because once again that's your beliefs and your rights.

You need to try harder then. "avoid the snarkiness"??? I'm done with this thread. You expect everyone on here to believe everything you spout because you've read it in books and your edumacated but when I happen to KNOW people PERSONALLY (and yes I have phone numbers, addresses, driving directions and a pretty fair recolection on their apperances) and tell you what THEY do, it's questionable???? WTF?!?! They support it through MONEY dear, not at the rallies. This is the reason WHY they said they supported it:
Because they didn't believe in interracial relationships and the KKK supported that.
That was their MAIN reason. True, they could've sought out another way to support their beliefs but they didn't, they haven't and I seriously doubt they will. They've been supporting it for 30+ years and I SERIOUSLY doubt they'd give you time enough on a phone for you to catch your breath if you tried questioning them on it.
You harp and preach to everyone on here to be objective and try to keep and open mind when yours seems to be closed tighter than anyones. It IS a free country and people can do what they want WHEN they want and HOW they want within the law. And if it's so hard for you to believe that there are some black people out there, though rare, who do support things like the KKK, then you need to get out of the house some and visit other parts of the country.
Just for the record, NO, I don't support the KKK, never have and never will. I HAVE been approached by them on more than one occasion and yes, even one of my black classmates whose family supported them through donations even asked me why I wasn't in it. My reply, "Because I don't believe in what they stand for." But being from Arkansas, which also happens to be the HQ for the KKK, if you're white and you go more than 6 months without being approached by them in some fashion (phone call, letter or dropping by), then something is wrong. So WHY is it so hard to believe that some black support things of that nature? Is it simply because YOU'VE never seen it??? Answer me that.

My first thought when I heard of black individuals or families supporting the KKK financially was "Hey n------, you and your family are going to be giving us $300 a month and we promise not to burn any crosses in your yard, or harm any of your children."
