....It is being discussed on most of the networks that there are numerous instances of people registering to vote using ficticious names, addresses and driver's licences in more populated districts. Voting officials in these areas are being diluged with these illegal registrations. It's an additional burden on these mostly unappreciated officials.

We won't have any problem here with Acorn because in lower population areas, irregularities would stick out like a too fat dog.
There are reported instances in 13 states, mostly in democrat areas, where voting officials are overwhelmed with the sheer volume and/or might be sympathetic.
Most of the new registrations involved are young minority voters. Needless to say, Acorn endorses Obama.

In Alabama and some other states, there are accusations that folks are being denied the vote because of questionable prior criminal offenses, etc. Looks like various groups have waited until the last minute to spring these reprehensible things so that we won't have the opportunity to correct them before the election.

How can we have honest leaders if the people voting are not honest. This seems to be happening on all levels of government, maybe if we lived under communist rule or tyrancy the U.S. citizens would appreiciate the democracy that our forefathers fought to have.

ACORN accepts all registrations, separates out the ones that look "suspicious", and gives both stacks to the registrant--telling them which stack is which. It's not ACORN's responsibility to deny a voter's opportunity to register based on suspicion--that's the registrants job.

One news oulet reported Friday night that ACORN workers were told to increase the number of voters they signed up. Looks like they pretty much accomplished that goal!!
They even had people register with names of dead people.

....This is exactly why Acorn's activities are more prevalant in highly populated districts, the "registrants" are being overwhelmed by the sheer volume of "suspicious" registrations lately, with little time to validate them.

The lady who heads ACORN said today on FOX that even though the Obama campaign gave $800,000 to ACORN in New Orleans and they endorse Obama, they are a bipartisan organization. She says volunteers are paid by the number of people they register, and they are the ones who may be padding the roles. G-R-E-A-T !....that explains everything , ACORN is off the hook.

There have been so many complaints and evidence of wrongdoing that the FBI is being called in to investigate ACORN....again. Several of the "registrants" interviewed were democrats who were disturbed by this illegal activity.

ACORN was not only funded by the Obama campaign, it was government funded too. It is too bad that some people have to be so greedy that they will register anything and anybody just for a buck. It taints the reputation of the whole organization. There will probably be people unable to vote that should be able to.

The perception is that officials of ACORN are "tongue in cheek" about the suggestion their volunteers registered deceased folks, Dallas Cowboy football players and minors, without their knowledge.

Encouraging people to vote is an admirable undertaking but ACORN is corrupt and ridiculously partisan and arrogant.

ACORN spokesperson denies that this was due to promise of payment for number of voters registered. He stated that ACORN employees are paid $8.00 per hour. You would think in a small area after registering someone for the 71st time they would have noticed it was the same woman. Hmmmmmmm...

ACORN officials convinced democrats during the Clinton administration of the concept that every American should own their own home, and practically blackmailed banks into making risky home loans. Some republicans went along with this.

Apparently, this questionable procedure slowed up when Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae would no longer assume these loans. These risky home loans and the subsequent predatory lenders caused this near economic collapse we're presently experiencing.

More details of ACORN's intimidation and subterfuge in registering new voters is surfacing everyday....it's widespread. Ridiculous excuses and denials abound. Critics of ACORN are accused of racism and partisanship....that sure was surprising.

In order to catch up on the ACORN issue I researched CNN and the internet. I was unable to find any unbiased report from any website that upheld the housing claims aoubt ACORN.

Didn't Sen. McCain appear and speak in support of ACORN at an event in Florida when he was pushing his immigration bill a few years ago?

I may be wrong on this, but the first time I ever heard of Acorn, I think McCain was invoved with them.
