Re: Green Tea

I try to drink a cup of green tea every morning. Hubby says its really very healthy. full of antioxidents. Its also considered a stimulant.. helps keep your energy up and can help keep you regular (if you know what I mean. First time I ever tried it I was like ughhh.. its green. but it comes in lots of flavors. I like the plain and just add a little splenda and it taste just like regular tea. Just don't keep looking at the color.lol

I am aware that my appearance, by mortal standards, is strange, even unsettling.

Re: Green Tea

There is something in teas called EGCG which is very beneficial for fighting many health problems. I've read that the difference in Green tea vs other teas is the preperation which prevents the EGCG compound from being oxidized. You've probably heard how good red wine is for you because it limits the negative effects of a fatty diet. Well, the benefits of EGCG is supposedly twice as powerful as the benefits of red wine. Why not drink them both and double the power...lol. Below are some of the medical problems drinking green tea will help with.

cancer
rheumatoid arthritis
high cholesterol levels
cariovascular disease
infection
impaired immune function

I'm not sure about the taste. I would assume it's like other teas though. Unfortunately I'm addicted to Pepsi. I read about all these great things but I never try them. Perhaps one day. Let us know how it taste if you try it.

Many people believe the consumption of green tea is the reason Japanese people live so long. Funny thing is, most Japanese citizens are also smokers but cancer is not very common.

Re: Green Tea

green tea is pretty good, but its not something that i could drink everyday. but i did hear it was suppose to be good for the body.

My hands tremble, my voice quakes,
my heart cries out, my body shakes,
my tears fall, my breath stills,
my strenght fails, my mind reels.....

Re: Green Tea

Tried it once - Still have the box ( minus one bag ) in the cabinet. I might have to give it another shot with Splenda.

Re: Green Tea

My niece loves it, but she is 4 years old and not real picky when it comes to food or drink. She says that to her it tastes like sweet tea. Like most of you all I can't drink something that is green. Like AliMc I couldn't eat the different colored ketchups either. I mean ketchup is suppose to be red and tea is suppose to be brown.... LOL

Re: Green Tea

The first sip is the hardest.. once you taste it and realize that its not so bad, the easier it is to go down. You won't notice it as much if you don't put it in a clear glass or mug.
