I have spent the sixty-eight years of my life in America and as the old saying goes, “I’ve seen a lot in my time.”
I have lived through Jim Crow, The Second World War, The Korean War, The Vietnam War, the birth of the Civil Rights Movement, and the deaths of John Kennedy and Martin Luther King.
I have been witness to horrible injustices and downright foolishness perpetrated by official America and a long-range observer of many mistakes on an international basis.
I have seen presidents lie and politicians cave in to special interests all to the detriment of the American public.
I have observed greedy business executives rob their stockholders to line their own bloated pockets.
I have seen politically motivated judges pass down life changing decisions with little or no concern for the ramifications to the American people or the consequences to generations to come.
I have watched our nation slowly but gradually sink into the cesspool of political correctness, valuing symbolism over substance and semantics over common sense.
I have seen an exponential increase in street crime and violence.
The judicial system routinely turns convicted child molesters back out on the street to practice their depravity on the helpless.
High priced lawyers get the guilty set free while callously crushing the lives and reputations of innocent people.
This nation’s laws murder millions of unborn babies every year.
Our borders are overrun with illegal aliens while politicians of the highest rank turn a blind eye in the name of political expedience.
I’ve seen the self proclaimed “enlightened” make an all out effort to expunge the name of God and Jesus Christ from society in the name of “Separation of Church and State,” a phrase which has never been in The Constitution.
Yes the U.S.A. has faults, yes there’s been cruel racism and failed foreign policy. Our crime rate is horrible, our judicial system is lax and our cities are decaying.
Our national debt is soaring, our fiscal policies are flawed and our nation is divided to the point of polarization.
But with all our shortcomings, all our flaws and all our faults, the United States of America is the most benevolent, the most progressive and the most compassionate nation on the face of God’s earth.
It is the envy of the planet, the only superpower, the overwhelming choice of immigrants and the pride and joy of those of us who love her.
I don’t claim to be a world traveler but I have visited over twenty countries in different parts of the world and I have never found one that can touch my America.
However there is a far better place than America. It’s called Heaven and when I leave the U.S.A. that’s where I want to go.
"I like big cars, big boats, big motorcycles, big houses
and big campfires.
I believe the money I make belongs to me and my family, not some
government stooge with a bad comb-over who wants to give it away to crack addict for squirting out babies.
I believe they are called the Boy Scouts for a reason, that is why there are no girls allowed. Girls belong in the Girl Scouts!
ARE YOU LISTENING MARTHA BURKE?
I think that if you feel homosexuality is wrong, it is not a phobia, it
is an opinion. I don't think being a minority makes you a victim of
anything except numbers.
The only things I can think of that are truly discriminatory are things
like the United Negro College Fund, Jet Magazine, Black Entertainment Television, and Miss Black America. Try to have things like the United Caucasian College Fund, Cloud Magazine, White Entertainment Television, or Miss White America; and see what happens. Jesse Jackson will be knocking down your door.
I have the right "NOT" to be tolerant of others because they are different, weird, or tick me off.
When 70% of the people who get arrested are black, in cities where 70% off the population is black, that is not racial profiling, it is the Law of Probability.
I know what sex is, and there are not varying degrees of it. If I
received sex from one of my subordinates in my office, it wouldn't be a private matter or my personal business. I would be "FIRED" immediately!
I believe that if you are selling me a milk shake, a pack of cigarettes, a newspaper or a hotel room, you must do it in English! As a matter of fact, if you want to be an American citizen, you should have to speak English!
My father and grandfather didn't die in vain so you can leave the
countries you were born in to come over and disrespect ours. I think the police should have every right to shoot your sorry self if you threaten them after they tell you to stop. If you can't understand the word "freeze" or "stop" in English, see the above lines.
I feel much safer letting a machine with no political affiliation recount votes when needed. I know what the definition of lying is.
I don't think just because you were not born in this country, you are
qualified for any special loan programs, government sponsored bank loans or tax breaks, etc., so you can open a hotel, coffee shop, trinket store, or any other business.
We did not go to the aid of certain foreign countries and risk our
lives in wars to defend their freedoms, so that decades later they could come over here and tell us our constitution is a living document; and open to their interpretations.
I don't hate the rich. I don't pity the poor. I know pro wrestling is
fake, but so are movies and television. That doesn't stop you from watching them.
I believe a self-righteous liberal or conservative with a cause is more dangerous than a Hell's Angel with an attitude.
I think Bill Gates has every right to keep every penny he made and
continue to make more. If it ticks you off, go and invent the next operating system that's better, and put your name on the building.
Ask your buddy that invented the Internet to help you. It doesn't take a whole village to raise a child right, but it does take a parent to
stand up to the kid; and smack their little behinds when necessary, and say "NO!"
I think tattoos and piercing are fine if you want them, but please
don't pretend they are a political statement. And, please, stay home until that new lip ring heals. I don't want to look at your ugly infected mouth as you serve me French Fries! I am sick of "Political Correctness." I know a lot of black people, and not a single one of them was born in Africa; so how can they be "African-Americans"? Besides, Africa is a continent. I don't go around saying I am a European-American because my great, great, great, great, great, great grandfather was from Europe. I am proud to be from America and nowhere else.
And if you don't like my point of view,
DON'T PASS IT ON!!!
I am aware that my appearance, by mortal standards, is strange, even unsettling.
If I am to be an ambassador of my people, tradition dictates that I look the part.
Sadly, those who judge me on my looks alone ignore the causes I champion
Still, when the need arises, I am a warrior.
That's why people need to remember (WE) are America...not the politicians....Our country is what we make it and the government doesn't owe us a darn thing.....We make that government...And we ought to control our own lifes instead of telling these elected officials we want them to run it for us, and pay us, and support us.....Everytime we take something from the government we lose ourself to an entity that we created....Do I support our government...Sure...Do I love my country? Of course...Do I put all my hopes and dreams in the government's hands? No way......
Whenever I see an old lady slip and fall on a wet sidewalk,
my first instinct is to laugh.
But then I think, what if I was an ant, and she fell on me.
Then it wouldn't seem quite so funny.
