Work wanted!
I don't know if anyone can help me, but it doesn't hurt to ask. I used to have a job here in Demopolis, but due to circumstances that I will not go into, I had to make a career change. I have a Accounting degree from the University of Alabama and about 9 years of work experience. I am currently driving to my new job in Meridian Mississippi every day. I would love to find a job in Demopolis. I was wondering if anyone might know of anything available here in Demopolis that fits my education and experience. Please PM me if you do! Thanks!

It is a shame that a demopolis citizen has to drive to meridian to work when they are qualified for a job right her in the city !! I know you stated you did not want to work at city hall but, I think you would be right for the job.

I CANT BELIEVE that, with your qualifications, you have to drive to Meridian to find a decent position. I wish you success in your quest...sounds like job requirements include more than education and experience.

I really don't want to move away from Demopolis either. Thats why I chose driving to Meridian over moving to a bigger place. But with gas at almost 3 bucks a gallon, its starting to really cut into my budget.

I completely understand how you feel about not being able to find a job in Demopolis. I grew up here, went to school at UWA and my husband works in Demopolis. When I graduated from college I couldn't find a job in my field. I couldn't even find a job in Meridian or Tuscaloosa in my field, so I had to find something else I enjoyed doing for a while. Almost three years later I found a job in my field doing exactly what I wanted to be doing. So, hang tight, be vigilant, you'll find something around here....
