Wal-Mart Stops Firearm sales
Wal-Mart has announced that it will cease in selling firearms from about 1,000
stores nation wide which is a 1/3 if their stores.

I'd rather buy from my local bait & gun shop anyway. Nobody at WalMart ever knows anything about guns or ammo when I shop there.

I know they don't have a very good selection of guns at this Wal-Mart..

I also wonder why they don't sell handguns at any Wal-Mart stores?

I agree this Wal-Mart does not have a good selection. Heck, most Wal-Marts I have been too dont have a good selection.

They sell handguns in the Wal-Marts in Alaska, that is the only state they sell handguns in

I have never bought a weapon from Wal-Mart with the exception on a Pellet Gun and Piant Ball gun. If I bought another weapon I would go to Willinghams or any other Sporting Goods or Gun Dealer. You just cant beat the service at a shop where they know guns and repair them.

I saw a gun at walmart I wanted in Texas.. but that's only because it was pretty.. i dont even know what kind of gun it was... but it sure was shinny... LOL... i dont like guns, but if i was to buy one, it wouldnt come from walmart!

I only have bought one gun from Wal-Mart. It was a 22 rifle that my son just had to have for Christmas a few years ago. The price was pretty good for what we got.

I agree that the selection is not very broad and there is no service after the sale. But every now and then I have noticed a few guns will have a very good and some of them are very much out of the price range.

I'm not sure about walmarts current policy, but at one time walmart sporting goods departments had a firearms catalog that included hand guns as well as rifles and shotguns. You just made a deposit and ordered the firearm of your choice. Within the bounds of state and local laws of course.
