Presidential Election Year 2004

I'm not really that into politics but I want to know who you are rooting for to win the Democratic primaries or will you vote for George Bush again? I myself have not quite made up my mind but I really can't see voting for George Bush again.

mrtony i agree that the democrats need to come up with a viable candidate. Bush has done nothing but lie to the people of this country since he took office. am not against the war in Iraq but i am against fabricated reasons for going. Politics in this country have gone to well you know.

Wasn't really Bush's fault about the misinformation about the war. He can only make decisions on the information he's given and if the information he's given is false, there's not much he can do about it. Intelligence is to blame for the misinformation, not Bush. I think Bush has actually done a lot and I would like to see him serve another 4 years. I don't like any of the Democratic candidates. Bush knows how to surround himself with the right people like a leader should in order to get things done.

Here's a little info. that I received attached in an email about Democrat frontrunner John Kerry. The website also reports on a lot of other interesting information.

Definitely Bush. Everyone says that he lied to the country and this, that, and the other. I can't imagine having another President in office with what we have gone through in the last few years.

All you need is an ounce of hope…a measure of faith…a touch of glory…and a taste of grace

Well I have a friend who was a former student of mine that I taught at Catherine Academy. He is now working in Washington D.C. as a security research analyst. He's also a part of a group that is working for Wesley Clark's campaign. Needless to say, he's been trying to convince me for a few months to vote for him.

Hey Wayleehan,

The CIA published a report yesterday that confirmed they (the CIA) did not inform the president that their was weapons of mass distruction in IRAQ, that the president and his staff came to that conclusion themselves, man you talk about egg on your face, what is bush going to say to that?

Well Wayleen, I am actually AGREEING with you on this one!

Bush is a great man, and has done very well for this country. He has done a great job in Iraq as well. Saddam had to go, there is no if ands or buts about it. The way he treated his own people is horrifying to think about, and he DID pose an immanent threat to the US.

Another argument that I hear about Bush is the economy is bad. That's not exactly correct either. The economy is actually doing pretty well right now, especially considering we aren't over the shot of September 11, Enron, etc... All problems with the economy are not the fault of the President, niether are all the times when the economy booms. Some differences observed between the economy in the Clinton administration show that the economy was a little better. This is because of two reasons. One is that the economy wasn't rocked by the events listed above, and the other is because Clinton put all of the countries influence on itself, and not concering for events in other nations. This obviously wasn't the way to go considering Osama was still alive in 2001.

Bush has my vote all the way. Bush is a man of chritian faith, and a stand up guy in my book.

As far as we know, Osama is still alive now.

I personally believe the Iraq war was pushed under false and misleading information. They still haven't proven that Osama and the Taliban had any direct contact with Saddam and his former regime. They've now said Saddam didn't even have the weapons we were trying to defend against. We basically gave the country a deadline to produce evidence of something they didn't have then bombed them for it.

Now, I agree totally Saddam is an evil bastard that needed to be ousted. That goes without question. But, when you consider the lives lost in accompolishing that goal, it makes it all a tough pill to swallow.

I don't consider myself a Republican or a Democrat- I fell the label prevents you from keeping an open mind about all issues. My feeling is if we're going to spend ourselves into a deficit, we should be spending the money here instead of overseas. It's hard to support spending billions in other countries when we have kids going hungry, people homeless, schools underfunded, lack of healthcare, etc right here in the US. I'll vote for the man or woman that can give jobs back to Americans and protect OUR borders.

I lean republican as far as social issues (abortion, gay marriage, etc.), but I feel the democrats have a better take on the economy. Four years ago I really felt we would have been better off economically with a democrat president, but I couldn't bring myself to vote for Gore. I just don't feel we can buy our prosperity on the blood of unborn babies, which is what I believe we are doing if we put a democrat in the White House. My favorite democrat was Joe Lieberman, and of course he is now out of the race. Howard Deen is too horrible to contemplate. I really like John Edwards, and I feel he will be John Kerry's running mate. I admire and respect President Bush even though I disagree with him on several issues. I don't agree with his massive deficit spending, and I am heartbroken everytime I hear of another soldier killed in Iraq. The President's new immigration policy also seems wrong. It doesn't seem right to reward people who entered our country illegally when there are so many more trying to come in through legal paths and so many citizens who need jobs. However, when all is said and done, I will vote for President Bush again because I believe he is a moral and godly man, and I really think we need a leader who seeks the Lord.

GOD BLESS AMERICA AND ROLL TIDE ROLL!

I'm like Dave as far as my political views go. I don't consider myself either Democratic or Republican. I only want to vote for the one that I feel can do the best job in leading our nation and right now I do not feel like George Bush is it.

To be or not to be, that is the question.

I just found a site that was mentioned on Techlive on the TechTV cable channel that kind of helps guide you on how the candidates stand on each issue, whether they be Republican or Democrat. The site is located at http://www.electionguide04.com/.

To be or not to be, that is the question.
