Fatal Accident in Linden

Re Demopolis Times story, April 23, accident at intersection of 28 and 43 in Linden at the courthouse. Mr. Clyde C. Turberville was the father of Larry Turberville, owner of Doric-South in Demopolis. Doric-South constructed the Veterans Monument at the courthouse. Please remember the Turberville family in your prayers.

The wreck was at the nursing home - not the courthouse.

Thanks for the correction Hometown Gal. That is a bad intersection. A person pulling out from 28 has to be careful of those fast trucks coming around the curve from the north.

It's all the more reason to build a bypass around Linden.

It is "On the drawing board" as I was told. That is where it will stay for some time to come. Real nice plans. You can see them for yourself in the County Engineers office. Nothing against log trucks. They help keep this county operating. But they should slow down. The drivers just want to make that one more load for the day.
