Pierre Goode's future looks bright.

Fired from John Essex is turning out well for Pierre Goode. Since his termination, he's had offers from schools in Birmingham, FLorida, and one from his alma mater at Hazelwood High. Now he's been offered the opportunity to become the first ever black athletic director and head football coach in the Alabama Independent School Association at Warrior Academy.

Goode's departure from John Essex's has been speculated as a problem with his educational status. This doesn't seem to be a problem now as the offers keep coming in. What John Essex and the Marengo County School System is thinking is beyond me.

Good luck to Goode in whatever decision he makes.

Pierre Goode's future may look bright but the school's future looks quite the opposite. There were circulating rumors that the school was going to shut the doors this school year and may still not have enough attendance for a school this year. Several kids from Warrior Academy have already enrolled in West Al Prep. It was to my knowledge that a Birmingham church donated the money, about 40 grand, to the school in that they let a couple of african american students into the school free of charge. Well the problem was that alot of the white students, the ones paying the money, are withdrawing and are enrolling somewhere else. The school, I hear, is in pretty good debt at the time being and the future doesn't look too good.

Lots of athletes are going to Tuscaloosa Academy as well. This may be a reason why he hasn't accepted the offer yet.
