Way to go Tigers!!! You really stomped those Hornets! And I may be wrong, but at the beginning of the game, I thought they were a pretty good team... That Homecoming sure was sweet!

really, i thought it was kin'da bad. not the game but the whole thing together. they did homecoming court b-for the game and was it just me or was that the same 1/2 time showthey do at every game??? what did you think.

They have done the Homecoming Court before the game since I moved back a few years ago. And the band wasn't even able to finish their half-time show due to the DCHS band taking too much time.

High school bands always do the same half-time show. Really, when do you think they would be able to create a whole new show every week? That's hours and hours of prep and work. I love our band and I think they do a fantastic job!
The court has been presented pre-game since I started working for the system in 2000, and I think it was done that way when I was in high school at DHS.
Sorry you were disappointed, but I thought things went very well.

I thought that it went very well. It would be nice to see different shows, but I pretty much think that is impossible. Plus, the band improves with every show! I like to see that. I think the dance line is really showing improvement.
I believe that everyone else is right, and the Homecoming Court is done before the game.
I enjoyed it, and once again, Go Tigers!

The court was done at half time when I was on the danceline in band (96 and 97) and was done that way my last 2 years as well (1999 grad). I think it is better to do it before, that way you don't have to worry about the other band eating too much time on the field and rushing the presenting of the court. That was always a concern when we did this. Although I was not present for HC, I did get to see the band perform in Clanton and they did very well. I was proud! Book 24, I agree, the danceline looks great! I am biased though, my cousin is on the line! I am just glad to see a line back out there!

CanebrakeVet: Yeah, Kaitlin(sp) is doing great! I was really happy to see her on the dance line-it takes a lot of bravery to do that. Of course, I barely recognized her because she has grown up so much!

I thought homecoming was great, even though this is the first parade I have missed in years. I can't believe it was Drew's last one!

Thanks Book 24. She is enjoying it very much. I didn't realize Drew was a senior until alleypooh posted. I can't believe that! I remember when he was born - gosh we are getting old!
