Truly incredible!

What is even more incredible is that some special teams coaches actually practice lateral plays. They call it: "Keep Away" (like we did as kids), "Staying Alive", or "Stanford" (meaning who got beat by this back in the '80s).

Coach's Comments:

Watch this video a couple more times. Don't watch the ball; instead, watch the Milsaps players (in purple). After about 4-5 laterals, you will notice that about 4 purple jerseys begin to tire and quit on the play. By the time that the last 2-3 laterals are made, 6-7 purple jerseys have flat quit playing while all 11 Trinity (in white jerseys) are still hustling and believing that they can pull it off and win...which they do.

I couldn't believe this when I heard about it on the news. I counted 14 laterals, someone said there were 5. Wow is all I can say! Reminds me of back yard football. Great video, thanks Trez for sharing this with all us football fans.

I keep losing count because the play gets me fired up. Things like that is the reason that some of us coach...a natural "high" of the adrenaline rush that comes from plays like that one. I probably would have had a heart attack regardless of which sideline I was on.
