McFadden is the best football player in the college ranks. He will have a bigger influence than Peterson in the pros. But he's not on a top ten team so he won't get the Heisman but he got my vote. He could be the first player taken in the draft.

1. Tim Tebow, Florida
I had Oregon quarterback Dennis Dixon at No. 1, but I think his injury -- a torn ACL -- will make it too hard for him to win the Heisman. In all my time in the SEC, I have never seen a player have as dominating a year as Tebow is having. On Saturday, he became the first person in NCAA history to throw and pass for 20+ touchdowns in a season  and he's only a sophomore. People may knock him because Florida has three losses, but he put up big numbers in every game. (His numbers were a bit lower in the loss to Georgia, when he was battling a shoulder injury.) He stands out above everybody.

2. Matt Ryan, Boston College
The Eagles' senior quarterback has orchestrated two great come-from-behind wins  at Virginia Tech and at Clemson. Although he struggled a bit in Boston College's losses, he's still one of the most consistent quarterbacks in the nation.

3. Chase Daniel, Missouri
4. Todd Reesing, Kansas
Both Big 12 quarterbacks are having great seasons, but the quarterback who takes his team the furthest will probably get the invite to New York. Their showdown this weekend will tell us a lot about the makeup of each.

5. Colt Brennan, Hawaii
Brennan is a longshot because of his injury and Hawaii's schedule, but he has a chance to impress voters against Boise State on Friday. Two strong performances down the stretch could propel him higher in the Heisman rankings. Despite the rapidly approaching end to the season, the race is far from clear-cut.

If everybody saw what I did during and after the Arkansas-LSU game, they are as enthusiastic as I am for McFadden. Tebow is equally as great and has another year. It's difficult for a southern player to win the Heisman because most of the voters are in other sections of the country. This year, the votes down here will be split between Tebow and McFadden, therefore allowing someone else to win.^^^^No sense worrying if you can't do anything about it.

I enjoyed seeing Miles choke. I'm an LSU (when they aren't playing the Hogs) fan but after his snide little comment about taking on "Ar Kansas" earlier in the week...he'll perhaps think twice about underestimating the Hogs. But the "Boot" comes back for another year! That truly was a Heisman performance on the part of D-Mac last night, might not win it, but it was a Heisman performance nevertheless!
