yeah, ol' tub was suppose to meet with auburn people today about improvements in facilities, more money for his assistants and possibly a little extra money for himself. then tomorrow, or some time this week, he has an already scheduled meeting with texas a&m. that meeting might not even happen if the meetings with the auburn people went extremely well, but never say never.
i've always wondered...do they have to order a special set of headphones for ol' tub to wear on the sidelines with those huge spock ears??? just curious
This is so embarrassing, Auburn only won by 7. Of course, the adminisration in Tuscaloosa told Saban he had to let all the dopers, drunks, loafers(D.J. Hall), attitudes(D.J. Hall), and thieves play if he wanted his little check. Money talks. They can serve their full suspensions now that the game is over. To no avail!
I'm sorry; that was UNCALLED for and rude. Really.

This is just weird. What do Tommy's ears have to do with anything? Seriously, is that the best that you can come up with to explain why Auburn beat Alabama? Geez.
Ok...I'm editing this because I rethought my stance on your comment on Tommy's ears. Yes, Tommy has big ears...all the better to hear Alabama fans whine with, my dear. Teehee.

Evidently he uses them big ol ears to hear Bama coming, cause his teams have whipped that fanny 7 out of 9 years... And we own Bryant-Denny, so good luck to you next year.
Generally I don't like to trash talk after the game but that was one I couldn't resist.

well, that's not trash talk whatsoever and if you take it as trash talk, then i don't know what to say. it's just a fun little comment (hence the smiley face). taking things a little too seriously there people. i could honestly care less about tommy and his ears, it's just a joke and you're right, his ears don't mean anything. liven up a little
Justme, if it will help your feelings, I apologise for being "RUDE". Unfortunately, we'll read about some of this in the newspapers in weeks to come. If you miss it, check the roster next year with this past Iron Bowl roster. Heads are going to roll.

Well saddlebum if your well of knowledge is so overflowing with whats going on in Tuscaloosa and the Alabama football team, would you care to enlighten us?
With facts only of course, your opinions and hear-say are a moot point to MOST of us who are in and around the Bama program on a weekly basis.

Saddlebum,
Let me assure you that my feelings need no help. I just find it in very poor taste to comment on the character and circumstances of people with whom, I assume, you have no personal relationship. In lieu of having proof (for lack of a better word) to employ the terminology you used to characterize these young men, the program, and the administration, it is rude. Unless you've attended all of these meetings or have been conferenced in on calls, you have no basis in regards to the COMPLETE truth of the situation. When/if these items are reported and the guillotine is constructed, I'd be more than happy to have a civil discussion. I would be just as accommodating to you if the cleat was on the other foot.
Opinions are certainly welcome and there are many times members disagree or debate each other. It can be done without being disrespectful and/or snotty.
As a lifelong Bama fan, I (as is the tendency of the majority of the Bama Nation) am critical of my team, the coaching staff, the administration, etc. It does NOT give me the right to drag people through the mud. Can you imagine how closely monitored the Bama program is by our own people after the sanction hammer came down on us? I am thinking that walking the proverbial line is the plan. I do not see calling ourselves into question with the NCAA. Let's be frank, money does talk....but it does so everywhere, not just Bama. We have taken our lumps and are moving on.
I came into this thread initially to congratulate Auburn on their win. I am not sure what your intent was...but I did not appreciate it. This is speaking just for me. It is not something I would have said about any other team's players.
To each his own, I guess. I accept your apology if it was genuine....but again, my feelings are just fine. Have a happy holiday season.
