Boy that was some good reading! Excellent arguments from both sides. I have been there and done that, didn't get the T-shirt, but got to go before the judge! Ah... college life. |

Yeah.. I thought Castille would know that PoPo's are part of college life... if you make it through college you're going to have to appear before a judge at least once. (If you do college right)
I did -- similar situation. I was in a car with people doing stupid things -- I wasn't driving, none of us were in a position to drive, so we just all took an open container ticket and hitched a ride with our other carload of folks back home, and went and got the car the next day. We'd pretty much finished the party before we left the house anyway... no business going anywhere to begin with ... lol. Even though it wasn't my car, I wasn't driving, I got ticketed for open container because there was alcohol in the car. I think it was a fair trade off considering the other alternative was for them to take us ALL to jail. I showed up at court a month or so later, paid my $25, and it's been a long time since I even thought about that.
I personally think Castille should just pay the money and get on with his life... but some people have money to throw away. But again -- if he truly thinks he was done wrong, and his parents do also -- it's their money to throw away if that's what they want to do with it. It just seems like a waste to me.
