If you have never had the opportunity to hear Josh speak, I would encourage you do to so. Josh came to speak at a benefit for a christian boy's home in Livingston. Other Alabama football greats wanted 1500 bucks or 10% of the funds raised (which ever was greater), Josh donated the gas and hotel money that he was given. He has impeccable character.

Demopolis Academy certainly sent some very outstanding graduates into the world. Josh is one of many who will take their christianity into the field of work chosen and make a difference. This christian based school will always be missed.

Ok DQ, just want to ask a question. This "person" on the AISA forum claims Josh graduated from Glenwood School in '91. His Dad, Dr. John Niblett left DA for Glenwood in the spring of '91, and they say Josh actually played baseball that spring at Glenwood. Is this the case or not? Just wondering, this "person" on the AISA forum has chastized me for claiming he graduated from DA. Can any of you former DA Generals tell me if he graduated from DA or not. I do know he was at Alabama '93,'94,'95.

I remember going to his signing party to Jacksonville (or wherever he went to school right out of HS) at DA, when I was in 9th grade. I know boys don't sign to a school until the spring. So, I would assume he did graduate from DA that spring.
I don't remember Niblett leaving during the school year...
i think i can clear up a few things about Josh. Being a DA grad myself and being close to the family even now i think i can help. He did attend DA into his senior year and his family transfered to Glenwood before graduation. He did go thru the graduation ceremony at Glenwood but his diploma red Demopolis Academy at his request. i have spoken with josh recently and he is heartbroken that the school is no longer in existence. i know he will take the values he learned there as well at other schools and carry them over into his career at Hoover. He is a great guy and i wish him the best. Way to go Josh.

Thanks for the clarification Lilbit, I was a graduate of DA in 99 and I will miss the halls that I walked down in that school. I always imagined coming back there in 2 years for my 10 years reunion and even for my 20 but i guess that will never happen. If only I had the money to reopen it and start fresh. I will say that the teachers I had and the christian based teaching was a great assest in what I do today with the army. Gives me something to look back on and smile to know I was one of 13 that year to graduate but it would not have been done without the outstanding teaching of the teachers I had those years i attended

Congrats to Josh and way to go. According to a small article in todays Tuscaloosa News he will be making $97,000 annually. Thats pretty good. But Hoover U also has very high expectations, but I expect him to do well.
