Re: NASCAR Fans get ready
I was visiting a NASCAR forum and came across this post- thought some of you might like it!
OK, let’s say Junior finishes top ten on the Beach. Then does well out in LA. The fans start to come back. Not that they’ve actually left. But maybe their ready to come back out of the tool shed.
So the question is, will there be a sea of green by ‘Dega? I just don’t see it.
Look, everyone likes red. It’s bright, fast and everyone knows chicks look hotter in red. And dudes look… well, fast. Heck, I got a dozen red shirts, and I ain’t even a Jr. fan!
Worst case scenario… April 27th, Talladega- Jr. has several top-tens and maybe even a win. The fans are back and showin’ their colors. But many aren’t quite ready to sport the new green, so they pull out the old Red Bud Special. The stands are a checkerboard of Christmas colors that only St. Nick would cheer for. The photographer turn away. NASCAR looses it’s deal with ABC (we can only hope).
There’s only one solution: Change Mountain Dew’s logo to RED!

I like his/her thinking!! It would be much easier for Pepsi to change their logo color than for me to find a half-way decent looking 88 shirt!!! I'll still be sportin the red 8!!
