It looked like Alabama didn't even show up to play at all.Auburn did a decent job winning against a team that played like crap.Next year things will be different.ROLL TIDE!
Alabama did show up. Auburn is just better than everyone thinks and they played a good game. Auburn embarassed that number 1 defense in the nation. If Auburn has a couple plays go there way they are ranked in the top 15 right now. Well all I have to say is WAR EAGLE!!!!!!!!!!
In all honesty, anyone who has watched Bama play at all this year knows they didn't play up to par. As a matter of fact this is the worst game I have seen Bama play all year long. Poor passing, bad, bad, bad blocking on the part of the offensive line, poor running, and terrible defense. This is no where near the same Bama that played LSU last week! At the same time, this was probobly the best game Auburn has had all season. By no means should Auburn have won the game. Even Auburn fans know they don't have the team that Bama has....Just the emational Iron Bowl games are always unpredictable.
If you throw out the Arkansas game, where Auburn wasn't theirself.
They lose to USC by 1 touchdown, who I believe is ranked in the top ten and have prob the Heisman Trophy winer on their team.
They lose to Florida in overtime after a blocked fieldgoal.
They lose to Georgia(also in the top 10) after a 4th down last ditch "throw it up and hope for the best" TD catch, in a game where Auburn beat down the dogs most of the game.
Everyone can say Bama didn;t play their best all they want, but if you can't come ready to play in the Iron Bowl in your own back yard, when are you ready to play? Auburn had nothing to gain in that game except respect, same as Bama, and they took it.

Dave..... Seriously......You know just as well as I do that Bama played like crap and Auburn had their Defensive game of the year. Watts only had a 52.4% completion, his worst of the year. 4 Sacks were allowed, the worst of the year. Shaud Williams and Santonio Beard only ran for a combined 89yds, by the worst of the year considering they normally run for over 100 yds EACH. Collins only had 26 yds recieving, versus 115 yds he had against LSU. Not to mention the 90+ yds Bama had in penalties. I am by no means trying to give Bama some sort of excuse for losing what should have been an EASY game, but you really have to admit that it wasn't exactly Bama's full potential on the field. Bama has dominated every opponent this year, and has only lost to 2 teams prior to the Iron bowl, both of wich are still in the top ten. Bama could have played better.
Your making it sound like like Auburn is some AA team who never had a chance. Auburn's losses were mostly tough luck than anything. They way your stating it, every team Bama played this year was better than Auburn, and Bama should have at least put up their averages on offense. Auburn has been tough against the run all year, and their defense has improved every game. The thinking that Alabama should have won EASILY is the same thinking that caused them to get beat down in their own yard.

Well Auburn did get blown up by ARKANSAS!! And there must be some reason why even after Sat.'s loss Bama is STILL ranked 6 places higher that Auburn (14 vs 20). I'm not making excuses for Bama, nor am I taking anything away from Auburn. Bama SHOULD have won the game. They had the team to do it. That's why it was called and UPSET. I really don't think there were a whole lot of people betting on the Tigers Saturday! Bama played like crap, Auburn played excellent, and thats it!
