DHS loses coach to 2A Gordo!!!!!

Offensive Linemen Coach Cassity (forgot his first name) has left his position at DHS for the head coaching position at the 2A Gordo Greenwaves.

We hate to see him leave especially after winning a state championship, but I know he will do well at Gordo and keep Demopolis' tradition of producing quality head coaches.. i.e. Mark Rose, Cody Keene, Shaun Bonds, and so on...

I just hope this isn't the begining of losing our coaches as rumors are flying around of Goodwin, Lawerance, Moody, and Pittman leaving for greener pastures....

I hope that we are not going to loose all of our coaches either.. The boys really like the coaches and they have a great team.. I know that Cassity will be replaced by another great coach.. I wish him the best at his new job..

where is gordo exactly?

Gordo is in Pickens County, on Hwy 82 about 20 miles west of Northport.

When did Gordo go to 2A. I remember playing them in high school when DHS was 4A, and I thought they were 4A at that time as well.
