The AHSAA has just released the new pre-season poll for the up and coming football season and the defending state champs, the DHS Tigers are ranked #3 in 4A.... behind #1 Deshler and #2 U.M.S. Wright..

That is crazy that Demopolis was not #1 to start out. They had no losses compared to Deshler and UMS who had a loss each. GIVE DHS A CHANCE!!

It's not fair b/c we beat both Deshler and UMS Wright last year to take state, but it's only a poll--just like college I presume. Stat, do coaches vote, or how does this work? Never thought about high school polls before! :dunno:
