This season should be interesting for the Tide. They are still under probation and can't go to a bowl but they go to Hawaii instead ).

The team will have to learn a brand new offense under head coach Mike Shula. I hope it is going to be a Wide opened Passing Attack. I get tired of seeing the tide run the ball every play. Hopefully they can put the past behind them and have a great season.

I would iamgine taht most of this year the tide will have a basic offensive package due to the little time hte coaching staff will have with the team. Easier to run than to develop the timing needed in a passing attack

Alabama will definitly open the passing game up considering Brody Croyle's arm and the head coach being a former tide quarterback. But I dont want to see the team go to a Steve Spurior "why do we need running backs?" type of offense. Bama is always good on the ground with short powerful plays. They only get 3 or four yards each time normally....but the ball keeps moving. Bama will have a good season.

I believe that Bama will pull off at a ten win season that year reguardless of what type of offense Shula decides to use.Most of the other teams in the SEC were hit hard by lossing alot of their seniors last year.I hope we at least have a winning season for Shula's first year to sort of lift this "dark cloud" off the univesity. ROLL TIDE ROLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

10 wins is much to ask for this team. I think 8 would be one hell of a succesful year. We have what many think is the toughest schedule in the nation. Absolutely no cupcakes on the schedule as far as i can see. Even NO ILL has the nations top returning RB and SOFLA won 9 games. only losses? OK and Arkansas. Shula will be a very good coach and the Bama Nation just has to be patient

Apparently the Bama folks think 7 wins is an accomplishment, since it guarantees Shula and extra 50 grand on his salary.

Alabama could win 8. They won't beat Oklahoma, Georgia, Tennessee, or Auburn. Shula gets lucky to have the first 5 games at home(Yes, B'Ham is a home game). Shula is really in a no lose situation here: He have have a **** season by Alabama standards and still be successfull. If he does as good as any decent coach would be expected to do he's the savoir. And if by some crazy act of God he manages to win at Jordan-Hare, the state will recall Bob Riley's election and vote him in.

The standard for any coach at Bama has always been "can you beat Auburn". Bill Curry has the best winning % of any coach since the Bear and he was fired ONLY because he couldn't beat them. I predict 8 wins and everyone will be pleased.

Well Bama does alway have the "Can you beat Auburn"....but now, I think it's leaning torwards "Can you beat Tennessee". Call me crazy but I got this feeling DEEP in my gut saying Bama will not only take Tennessee this year, but ALSO AUBURN. ROLL TIDE ROLL

OK OK very funny indeed...........But a true fan must always believe that their team will win every game. The way i see it bama winning those two games is no more far fetched than Auburn winning the Sears trophy. Tubbs will cost them or more games with his inablility to make adjustments!
