Should Pete Rose be reinstated into Baseball? Well I say yes. He has been out for 14 years now and I don't care if he betted or not which he finally admits to in his new book

I say bring him back and get him in the Hall of Fame...

He deserves to be in there. You put a player in the hall for what he did as a player not a person. You can look at some of the current members and say negative things about them also.
Micky Mantle was a drunk and Babe Ruth had plenty of women I mean come on all Rose did was bet on the game.

Put him where he belongs in the hall with the rest of the legends.

I say yes also...

Betting on the game, especially when you are the manager of a team, is dead wrong. He should have come clean when he was caught. But I agree that alone shouldn't keep hiim out. Considering he holds a record no one will ever beat, and the fact there are folks in the Hall that have done worse, it shouldn't be such an issue. Ty Cobb was an outspoken racist and most likely a murderer. One day when a black groundskeeper tried to
shake his hand, Cobb slapped him, chased him into the dugout and then tried to strangle the man's wife when she came to his aid. He was also involved in a gambling scandel, where he was going to bet $2000 and throw the game, but didn't come up with the cash in time.

Let him in. It's about his accomplishments not his problems or what he done right or wrong. Give the man the respect he deserves for what he done on the field. He was wrong to bet when he did it. Dont get me wrong. It wasn't right. I can see it form both sides of the fence though. I say put him in Cooperstown.

Yes, put Pete where he should be, as it has been stated, no one will ever beat his record. It is not called the "Hall of Morals" it is called the "Hall of Fame" it is there to honor the achievements in the sport. Nothing else should really matter. I am sure that there are several people in the Hall that have done wrong.

Pete Rose should be reinstated to baseball AND be put in the Hall of Fame. He's paid his price for the gambling and he's earned his place in the HOF. I think he's learned his lesson. He's definitely gotten a harsher and more unfair sentence for what he's done than other sports figures have gotten in the past for their sins. I think someone was trying to make an example out of Pete Rose. Maybe a personal vendetta???

We aren't talking about a heroin addiction. The man made a few bets. Also, with the intense scrutiny and tremendous press coverage, There would be pretty much 0 chance of him doing it again.

Inorder for him to be in the HOF he has to be reinstated into baseball.

He can bet it won't matter if he does or not. Only if he gets to manage or batting coach or something in the game then he better not cause they will kill him next time.

Here's something I found interesting that Mike Celizic (NBCSports.com) wrote about Pete Rose and his new book:

"The man who knows every bit of trivia about hitting records apparently knows nothing about how, in 1919, gambling almost destroyed baseball. He doesn’t even mention that baseball sees alcoholism and drug addiction as a threat to the individual, but not to the integrity of the game. He says nothing about walking into the clubhouse every day of his life past a very large poster reminding everyone involved with the game that, if they gamble on baseball, they will be banned for life."
