In order to get the most out of your DLive experience, you need to customize the site to your own liking. To do this, you must use the "Color Changer". Internet explorer 6 users will not get the full benefit of the customization, and should consider upgrading to either IE7, or Firefox. Located at the top of this page (to the right) is a button labled "Color Changer"--click this button.
After clicking you should see a drop down screen that looks like this: To change colors: At the top left of the drop down is 2 boxes: The top box show all the preset themes we have to offer (we'll be adding more as time goes on, including holiday themes). You can view each one by selecting it from the top drop down menu and clicking "Apply Colors" located to the right of the Color Chooser menu. Once you find a theme you like, click "Apply Colors" to switch to it, then click the "Color Chooser" button again to close the menu. Your computer will remember the settings until you change it again or clear your cookies. To create a custom theme: Start with the bottom drop down menu and select an "overlay" image. This is the image you see in the background (IE6 users can't see this image). Next, go down the list starting with "Primary Color" and ending with "Tertiary Text". Click inside where you see the hex codes (to the right of each color menu) and drag the dot on the "Color Picker" to the desired color. Use the slider to change the box color, and view the preview to the right of the slider:

You can click "Apply Colors" after each change to view the site changes. If you don't like the color picker and want a list of hex codes, visit here or here. Once you have finished, be sure to click "Apply Colors" before closing the menu. If you think your color scheme really good, submit the hex values to us and we may add it to the presets (names after your username, of course!). That's it! There are literally hundreds of thousands of ways to customise your DLive page. Remember to submit your design if you come up with a keeper. |
